SCHOOL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
-EMERGENCY REUNIFICATION-
Circumstances may occur at the school that require parents to pick up their students in a formalized, controlled release. This process is called a Reunification and may be necessary due to weather, a power outage, hazmat or if a crisis occurs at the school. The Standard Reunification Method is a protocol that makes this process more predictable and less chaotic for all involved. Because a reunification is not a typical end of school day event, a reunification may occur at a different location than the school a student attends. If this location is another school, then those students maybe subject to a controlled release as well.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY...
Do NOT come to the school until notified to do so
When Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement respond to the school for any type of emergency, personnel are required to follow a series of protocols including detailed attendance of each student. Driving to the school early means you may get in the way of emergency vehicle traffic and the ability of emergency crews to respond to the scene. The school will not be able to release students until Law Enforcement renders the building safe. Once appropriate, the school district will notify families via Text/Email/Phone alerts when and how they can be reunited with their students. Please follow the guidance below for more information.
